The New Leeds Minster praises Why Digital Media's CSR community involvement

To mark the status change of Leeds Parish Church into Leeds Minster, Why Digital Media have developed a brand strategy and 'brand bible' to help the minster reposition itself within the Leeds community hub.

For hundreds of years, The New Leeds Minster has been inviting all walks of life to come and worship, pray and socialise together as it plays an active role within the community its serves. In 2012 the Parish church secured Minster status to become known as the Leeds Minster.

To celebrate this change of status from Parish church to Minster, The Leeds Minster required an online presence reflecting the important role it played within the local community and to inform people about news, social events and congregational details whilst still projecting its traditional values. Using the Dolphin CMS allowed the Leeds Minster a variety of useful functions, resources and tools making outreach easier and hassle free.

Why Digital Media's Director, Simon Kevan, commented and said "This work  is part of Why Digital Media's wider CSR activity where we donate agency time to charitable and community focused organisations within the region. We take our role within the wider community very seriously and by helping other organisations achieve their marketing goals gives my team and I great job satisfaction. We firmly believe that all business, no matter how big or small, should give something back to their local society."

The new Leeds Minster is at the centre of the Leeds Parish where neighbouring churches can also benefit from this ongoing marketing support Why Digital Media have donated.

The Reverend Canon, Rector of Leeds Tony Bundock, was delighted with the new partnership and said "Why Digital Media listened carefully to what we needed and have helped us to promote ourselves as a multi functional venue. We have been delighted with the service, aftercare and support we have received, which has enabled us to do things we never thought would be possible. We are looking forward to the long lasting working relationship".

The all new Leeds Minster website was launched in January 2013 and can be found at www.leedsminster.org
