Why Digital Media adapts to Rix Petroleum's mobile customer needs

Ever since 1873 J.R Rix & Son have been adapting to their customers needs in an ever changing environment. Fast forward to the present day and those demands for operational change are even greater than before.

Through the daily monitoring and reporting service offered by Why Digital Media's Programming Team, data sourced from Google Analytics presented some interesting facts about Rix.co.uk. On an increasing frequent basis 23% of internet traffic with high stickiness was coming from a range of mobile devices when customers were on the move.  

Head Programmer at Why Digital Media, Dan Rochelle saw this as an opportunity and said "In order to enhance the user experience and allow customers to find the information they required with ease, simplicity and speed, rix.co.uk was crying out for an optimised mobile site to be developed. The mobile site didn't compromise on design and corporate brand features plus it allowed users to get instant heating oil prices and place orders with a single click".

In keeping with Rix Petroleum's attitude to adapting to the customers needs, within a week, Why Digital Media's Programming Team had produced a fully functioning mobile site ready for testing and client sign off.

In all honestly we gave them an unrealistic deadline to meet and to our surprise they managed to get the site live prior to our monthly board meeting which was fantastic.
