Why Digital Media bolsters the client-facing team with new recruit

Leeds based Why Digital Media are pleased to announce the appointment of their new Marketing Executive Lucy Boyce to their account management team.

A graduate of Chester University in Fine Art, Lucy's artistic talents caught the eye of the interview panel back in May 2013 when the post was initially advertised. Her previous role at northern based ABR Solicitors (part of the Clarion Group) has provided her with the ideal foundation to kick start her marketing career within a vibrant, growing digital agency.

To develop her own learning Lucy is currently studying the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Professional Certificate in Marketing qualification to aid her theoretical understand.

Commenting on her new appointment, Why Digital Media's Digital Marketing Director Chris Nriapia said "The entire interview panel were blown away with Lucy's professional manner, knowledge of the industry and work experience to date which was really pleasing to see for such a young professional. I also loved how she showed great initiative by enrolling herself onto the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing course to increase her knowledge of marketing to help her career progression."

Lucy has gained experience in various areas of marketing through her job roles, such as executing marketing campaigns, planning promotional projects, generating new business and analysing trends. She has previously worked for Reed Recruitment, House of Fraser, Robert Half International and ABR Solicitors (part of the Clarion Group).

Commenting on her new position Lucy said "I was over the moon when I was offered the job as this will allow me to put what I've learnt on my CIM course into practice. It's also a great opportunity for me to be central to what is a fast moving, growing digital agency in the centre of Leeds."

Lucy is also a keen keep-fit enthusiast where her spare time (when not pounding the treadmill) is spent reading, keeping up to date with modern art literature, cooking and socialising with friends.
