Why Digital Media communicate Farnell Element 14 change through pan-european web ads

Trading in over 100 countries worldwide and listed on the London Stock Exchange as a FTSE 250 company, Farnell Element 14 needed to communicate the joining up of its two separate companies Premier Farnell and Element 14 to internal and external stakeholders.

The new Farnell Element 14 brand was formed making it a significant business change for a company operating in many countries serving many different markets.

A few months ago, Why Digital Media produced a global brand video promoting their unique and powerful offering. This multilingual video was filmed in a number of European and North American locations showing the scale of this global operation. To coincide with the marketing messages that helped communicate the strategy a number of skyscrapers, leader boards and banner adverts were produced to be used and various European web platforms driving traffic to the Farnell Element 14 website.

Why Digital Media's Managing Director Lee Fella commented and said "We received a brief to produce 16 adverts in varying sizes depending on where they were being placed across the web. From the initial creative stage, through to design then production and development we literally had a few days to turn this around which we achieved with a few hours to spare."

Due to the location of the placements, each advert needed to be translated into a range of eastern European languages where the messaging and tone of voice needed to be coherent with the brand and corporate guidelines.
